When you register for Pula Perks, we collect the following information: • Full name • Email address • Phone number • Transaction data (amounts, dates, partner locations) • Device and session information We do not collect sensitive personal data such as national ID numbers, financial account details, or biometric data.
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to: • Create and manage your Pula Perks account • Calculate and track your loyalty points • Generate your unique QR code for scanning at partner locations • Provide personalized reward recommendations • Communicate important account and platform updates • Maintain platform security and prevent fraud • Generate anonymized analytics for our partners
3. Data Sharing
We share limited data with participating partners only as necessary to process transactions and rewards. This includes your name (or pseudonym) and points balance at their specific location. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Aggregated, anonymized data may be used for platform analytics and partner reports.
4. Pseudonym System
Pula Perks provides a pseudonym system to protect your identity on leaderboards and public-facing features. By default, your pseudonym is displayed instead of your real name. You may toggle this setting at any time in your dashboard settings. This feature is designed in compliance with the Botswana Data Protection Act, 2018.
5. Data Security
We take data security seriously. Your data is: • Stored in Firebase Cloud infrastructure with enterprise-grade encryption • Protected by Firebase Authentication with secure session management • Accessed only by authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis • Subject to single-device session enforcement for additional security We implement industry-standard security measures, but no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data, transaction history, and points records are permanently and irreversibly destroyed. We may retain anonymized, aggregated data for statistical purposes.
7. Your Rights

8. Cookies & Tracking
Pula Perks uses essential cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use third-party advertising trackers. Analytics data is collected in an anonymized format to improve the platform experience.
9. Children's Privacy
Pula Perks is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we discover we have collected data from a minor, it will be promptly deleted.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email and/or in-app notification. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
